The position acts as a strategic business partner to the General Manager.

Job Description
Golden Tulip Addis Ababa Hotel is a Star Upscale Hotel, part of an international Hotel Chain, located in expansive grounds in a strategic location near the International Airport, and is looking for qualified candidates for the Director of Finance & Supply vacant position.
Major Duties and Responsibilities: -
A. Financial Management
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, receivable, general ledger, payroll, and cash flow management.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, monthly P&L, balance sheets, and management reports.
- Monitor hotel performance against budgets, forecasts, and KPIs; provide variance analysis and recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with local tax laws, statutory reporting, brand financial policies, and audit requirements.
- Manage internal and external audits; implement corrective actions.
- Maintain strong internal controls to safeguard assets and prevent risk or fraud.
B. Budgeting & Forecasting
- Lead the annual budgeting process in coordination with all departments.
- Prepare monthly/quarterly forecasting and financial planning.
- Advise the General Manager and Executive Committee on financial trends, business risks, and opportunities.
C. Cost Control & Inventory Management
- Lead the cost control team to ensure optimal cost levels across F&B, Operations, and Supplies.
- Oversee monthly inventory counts, stock verification, and reconciliation of variances.
- Analyze consumption trends and prevent wastage, pilferage, and overstocking.
- Ensure accurate item coding, par levels, issuing procedures, and store management.
Qualifications & Experience
- From an accredited academic institution first degree in Finance/Accounting/ Accounting and Finance or other relevant field of study
- Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft environment, as well as applicable account software training
- 8 years related work experience, of which 4 years are in a managerial position and in a 4 or 5-star hotel.
