Finance Director

Qualification: Degree in Accounting, Accounting & Finance, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum of 4–6 years of experience as a Finance Director or Finance Manager in a 4-star or 5-star international hotel.

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Strategic thinker with extensive knowledge of financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Strong technical accounting, finance, and taxation knowledge.
• Proficiency in financial reporting, analysis, and presentation of management and statutory reports.
• Computer literate with experience in systems implementation.
• Good knowledge of SUN Systems, Opera, and Micros.
• Outstanding leadership, coaching, training, and team development skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement financial strategies to enhance the profitability and sustainability of the hotel business.
• Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, accounting, reporting, and financial analysis.
• Prepare, review, analyze, and present accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Monitor financial performance and provide recommendations to improve operational efficiency and profitability.
• Establish, implement, and maintain effective internal control systems to safeguard company assets.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and industry-specific financial regulations and standards.
• Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial risk to support business objectives.
• Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process in collaboration with department heads.
• Monitor revenue, expenses, and financial performance indicators to ensure targets are achieved.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.
• Oversee tax planning, reporting, and compliance activities.
• Provide financial guidance and support to senior management for strategic decision-making.
• Lead, train, coach, and motivate the finance team to achieve departmental objectives.
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of accounting records and financial transactions.
• Prepare management reports and financial presentations for owners, investors, and stakeholders.
• Support the implementation and optimization of financial systems and reporting tools.
• Maintain compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and hospitality industry best practices.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
