Job Summary
The Finance Head will lead and oversee all financial operations of the company, ensuring proper financial management, cost control, compliance, and strategic financial planning to support business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the finance and accounting team: Manage and mentor the finance staff for optimal performance.
- Prepare and review financial statements: Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial reports and management reports.
- Oversee budgeting and forecasting: Drive financial planning processes to align with business goals.
- Monitor cash flow: Manage working capital to ensure operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance: Adhere to tax laws and financial regulations to mitigate risks.
- Strengthen internal controls: Enhance financial systems and processes for better governance.
- Support management: Assist in strategic decision-making with financial insights.
- Coordinate audits: Manage external financial reporting and audit processes.
Requirements
- Education: BA/MBA in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years in relevant positions, preferably within the manufacturing sector.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of financial management and cost control practices.
- Leadership: Proven experience leading a finance team effectively.
- Skills: Excellent analytical and leadership abilities, with knowledge of Ethiopian tax regulations.
