Job Details
Condition of employment: One year contract with possibility of extension based on performance and continuity of the project.

Reporting to: The Finance, Human Resource, and Property Administration Officer
Major Duties:
- Post and record all the financial transactions of the project at the field level.
- Handle various finance and accountancy activities of the project.
- Coach and supervise the project cashier.
- Ensure donor compliance on financial issues.
- Verify the accuracy of payments.
- Prepare and submit regular financial reports of the project in accordance with the requirements of JeCCDO and the funding partners.
- Check various payments like taxes, pension deductions, and accumulated account receivables are paid and collected in time.
- Reconcile ledgers, prepare trial balance, and periodical financial statements.
Required Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
Qualification
- B.A. Degree in Accounting, Financial Management, or related fields of study from a recognized university.
Experience
- Minimum of 4 years' experience, with experience in working with NGOs being an advantage.
Skills
- Computer literate and ability to use accounting software - Peach Tree.
- Diligent, tactful, attentive to details, and willing to learn.
Additional Information
- Duty station: Hawassa City with travels to the project Woredas (Bilate Zuria and Boricha) when necessary.
- Salary: Negotiable.
