Job Summary
Armoor General Metal Works is looking for a reliable, detail-focused, and experienced General Accountant to handle all financial and accounting activities of the company. The ideal candidate should be strong in manufacturing cost accounting, tax compliance, and daily financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting tasks: cash collection, disbursements, payables, and receivables.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Handle VAT, withholding, payroll tax, and other government tax filings.
- Maintain proper documentation of all financial transactions.
- Monitor and reconcile bank statements and company accounts.
- Prepare payroll and ensure timely salary processing.
- Support inventory and cost accounting, especially raw materials and production costs.
- Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and expense tracking.
- Work closely with management on financial reporting and analysis.
- Coordinate with auditors and provide necessary documents.
- Any other accounting duties assigned by the company.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting (manufacturing industry experience is highly preferred).
- Strong understanding of Ethiopian tax laws and financial regulations.
- Skilled in accounting software (Peachtree, ERP systems are a plus).
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
