Lovegrass Agro-Processing Plc is a fast-growing food processing and FMCG company dedicated to delivering healthy Teff products to local and international markets. We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced FMCG - Procurement Manager to lead and manage our sourcing, purchasing, and supplier relationship functions in line with FMCG standards.
Role Overview
The Procurement Manager will be responsible for:
- Sourcing high-quality goods and services at competitive prices
- Managing supplier relationships and ensuring timely purchasing
- Overseeing procurement policies and processes
- Managing contracts and negotiations
- Ensuring compliance with company standards and regulations
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company objectives
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers for raw materials
- Ensure cost-effective purchasing without compromising quality
- Manage supplier relationships, contracts, and performance
- Coordinate procurement planning with production, operations, and finance
- Monitor market trends and risks affecting supply chains
- Maintain proper records and procurement documentation
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations
- Lead and coach the procurement team for efficiency
Qualifications & Requirements
- BA/BSc in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or related field (Master’s is a plus)
- Minimum 8 - 10 years of progressive procurement experience
- Strong knowledge of local and international procurement procedures
- Proven negotiation and contract management skills
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office tools
- Fluency in English and Amharic; knowledge of other local languages is an advantage
Remuneration and Compensation
Negotiable based on qualifications.
