Job Summary
On behalf of our client, we are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Procurement to lead and manage our client's procurement and store functions. The procurement head will be responsible for sourcing high-quality goods and services at competitive prices, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring timely and cost -effective purchasing to support business operations.
The role also involves developing and enforcing procurement policies and procedures, managing contracts and negotiations, ensuring compliance with company standard, and leading a team of 12 people across procurement and store management.
The role also involves travel between Oromia region Arsi zone for one week ( Accommodation and transportation will be provided by Company) and then one week in Addis Ababa.
This position is a senior appointment, and the salary will be at senior level. Experience is key, and you will work closely with the general manager.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management, Business administration or related fields(Master's preferred).
- Minimum 6 years in procurement and store management (preferably in an agricultural sector or an internationally based company).
- Technical knowledge: Supply chain management, international procurement regulations, standards, and procedures.
- Background in agriculture sector is highly preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Excellent communication skills - fluency in English (written and spoken) is mandatory.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel)
