About the Job:
- The Internal Control Officer I is responsible for supporting and monitoring internal controls across banking operations, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. The role involves reviewing branch operations, identifying risks, and assisting in the implementation of corrective actions to strengthen operational efficiency and integrity.
Qualification:
- B.A Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Management, Business Administration, Banking & Finance, or related fields
- Minimum 3 years of banking work experience
- At least 2 years as Junior Branch Controller, CSO (BBO), or in an equivalent position
Place of Work:
- Goro Bale Branch (Under Adama District)
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and evaluate branch operations for compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements
- Identify risks, discrepancies, or inefficiencies and recommend corrective actions
- Assist in preparing internal audit reports and follow up on implementation of recommendations
- Collaborate with branch staff to ensure proper execution of banking procedures
- Support management in maintaining operational standards and efficiency
