The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing day-to-day technical support, maintaining POS systems and devices, managing hardware/software installations, and supporting network and cloud-based services. The role requires a hands-on, detail-oriented technician with a strong problem-solving mindset and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical assistance to employees for hardware, software, and network issues
- Create, modify, and manage user accounts and cloud-based services (G-Suite, Office365, etc.)
- Administer tools such as firewalls, load balancers, backups, and mobile device management solutions
- Configure, maintain POS devices, desktops, laptops, printers, and relate any company electronics hardware
- Set up and manage advanced network devices (firewalls, switches, routers) and structured cabling
- Troubleshoot and document end-user issues and resolutions
- Monitor system performance and perform updates/upgrades as needed
- Install and maintain telecom and security systems (e.g., cameras, wireless access points)
- Coordinate with external vendors and support services when needed.
- Research and implement new technical solutions that align with business needs
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or TEVET Level 4 certification
- Minimum 1 year of experience in IT support, help desk, or systems maintenance
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS), Windows 10/11, and Office 365
- Experience with cloud tools, basic cloud computing, and user access management
- Knowledge of computer hardware, POS systems, networking (wired/wireless), and IT troubleshooting
- Familiarity with structured cabling, switches, routers, firewalls, and surveillance systems
- Ability to translate technical issues to both technical and non-technical users
- Collaborate with external device manufacturers and maintenance services providers to fix technical issues.
