Job Summary
The Junior Accountant will support the finance team in performing basic accounting tasks, ensuring accurate financial record-keeping, and assisting in the preparation of reports. This role is ideal for recent graduates looking to start a career in accounting and finance, gaining practical experience in financial operations.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in recording daily financial transactions and maintaining accurate accounting records.
- Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Help reconcile accounts, bank statements, and financial documents.
- Assist in monitoring budgets and expenditures.
- Support payroll processing and ensure proper documentation of staff payments.
- Maintain organized filing systems for financial records.
- Provide administrative support to the finance team as required.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and accounting standards.
- Perform other finance-related tasks as assigned.
Qualification Requirements
- First Degree in Accounting or Accounting & Finance from a recognized college/university
- Fresh Graduate or up to 0 years of professional experience in accounting or finance
Skills, Attitudes, and Attributes:
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Basic understanding of accounting principles
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Eagerness to learn and develop professionally
- High integrity and professionalism
