Jr. Accountant

Job Summary:

To prepare journal entries, maintain balance sheet, ledgers and account and bank reconciliations; assist senior staff in all cash management functions

Duty Station: Head Office

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare periodic cash collection report
• Accurately perform daily reconciliations of cash, check and credit card transactions, and tally and file invoices
• Post and process journal entries to ensure all transactions are recorded
• Support in tracking and monitoring accounts receivable and accounts payable
• Assist with the preparation of financial statements
• Assist in analysis and reconciliation of bank statements and general ledgers
• Assist in financial and tax audits, and general ledger preparation
• Participate in preparation of period financial statements that include cash flow, profit and loss statements, and balance sheets.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor

• Keep immediate supervisor informed with regular detailed and accurate work reports on progress and challenges
• Take self-initiative to develop competence and improve performance
• Develop individual performance plan; Implement feedbacks received by immediate supervisor during performance evaluations
