Position Summary
We are seeking a meticulous and organized Junior Asset Management Officer to join our Sourcing and Logistics team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the accurate tracking, maintenance, and reporting of our company's physical assets. Department: Sourcing and Logistics
Reports to: Logistics and Sourcing Manager
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain and update the company’s asset registry database with precision.
- Track and record all asset movements, transfers, and assignments.
- Conduct regular physical audits and verifications to ensure data accuracy.
- Assist in the tagging, labeling, and identification of new and existing assets.
- Support the coordination of asset transfers between departments and disposal processes.
- Prepare accurate and timely asset management reports and maintain all related documentation.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Logistics Manager.
Qualification
Education:
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Experience:
- 1–2 years of proven experience in asset management, inventory control, or a similar logistics role.
Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies:
- Exceptional attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
- Strong computer literacy, particularly with MS Office Suite (Excel is essential).
- Basic understanding of inventory or asset management principles.
- Familiarity with asset management software systems is a distinct advantage.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
- High level of integrity and responsibility in handling company property.
