Job Summary
The Junior Procurement Officer supports the procurement function by assisting in sourcing, purchasing, and managing goods and services required by the organization. The role ensures timely procurement, proper documentation, and compliance with organizational policies while maintaining cost-effectiveness and quality standards.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in sourcing suppliers and obtaining quotations for goods and services.
- Support the preparation and processing of purchase orders.
- Follow up on deliveries to ensure timely receipt of items.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation.
- Assist in vendor evaluation and selection processes.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
- Coordinate with internal departments to understand procurement needs.
- Support inventory tracking and stock level monitoring.
- Perform other procurement-related tasks as assigned.
Qualification Requirements
- First Degree in Accounting, Procurement, Logistics & Supplies, or related fields from a recognized college
- Fresh Graduate or 0 years of experience
Skills, Attitudes, and Attributes:
- Basic understanding of procurement processes and supply chain management
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
- Good communication and negotiation skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work in a team and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel)
