Job Summary
The Procurement Officer is responsible for supporting the organization's procurement activities by managing supplier relationships, reviewing purchase requisitions, negotiating pricing and delivery terms, monitoring supplier performance, and ensuring procurement transactions comply with organizational policies and financial regulations. The role contributes to efficient purchasing processes, cost optimization, and the timely availability of goods and services required for business operations.
Education
- BA Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics & Supply Chain Management, Accounting & Auditing, Banking & Finance, Cooperative Accounting, Public Finance, Purchasing & Supply Management, Business Management, Marketing Management, or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum of 0 years of relevant work experience (Entry-level position).
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in supplier development activities.
- Conduct price, delivery, and terms & conditions negotiations with suppliers.
- Review Purchase Requisitions (PRs) for completeness, clarity, and quality specifications.
- Implement and monitor supplier performance metrics to ensure service standards and lead time reduction.
- Process engineering changes promptly to minimize manufacturing disruptions and excess inventory.
- Process and settle procurement transactions in compliance with finance regulations.
- Maintain complete, accurate, and audit-ready procurement records.
- Support cost reduction initiatives through effective sourcing and procurement practices.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely procurement of required goods and services.
