Position Summary
- We are seeking a motivated Junior Sales Officer to promote and sell our solar energy systems, backup power and E-cooking solutions to residential and commercial customers.
- You will be the face of Green Scene, educating clients on cost-saving solar/E-cooking solutions, generating leads, and closing sales while achieving monthly targets.
About You
Key Responsibilities
- Sales & Business Development: Promote and sell solar PV systems, inverters, lithium-ion battery backups, and e-cooking solutions to residential and commercial clients; develop and execute sales strategies to meet and exceed monthly and quarterly targets; identify and pursue new business opportunities through cold calling, referrals, field visits, and networking.
- Customer Engagement & Consultative Selling: Conduct needs assessments and recommend tailored energy solutions; deliver compelling product demonstrations highlighting cost savings, energy efficiency, and return on investment (ROI); build and maintain strong client relationships through follow-ups and after-sales support.
- Lead Generation & Market Expansion: Research and identify high-potential leads in urban and peri-urban areas; participate in field marketing campaigns, trade shows, and community outreach programs; gather market intelligence on competitors, pricing, and customer preferences.
- Sales Operations & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales pipelines; submit daily and weekly sales reports including performance metrics, challenges, and opportunities; collaborate with the technical team to ensure smooth project handover after sales.
- Professional Representation & Compliance: Uphold brand integrity through professional conduct and ethical sales practices; stay updated on industry trends, product developments, and government solar policies; attend training sessions to improve sales and technical skills.
Job Requirements
- Education: Degree in any field.
- Experience: 0–6 months of experience; solar or energy-related experience is an advantage.
Skills
- Strong communication skills (English & Amharic; additional local languages are a plus).
- Self-motivated with a strong drive to meet sales targets.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office and social media tools.
