Our Marketing Team is seeking a Marketing Officer to join our BYD Business Unit, based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. In this position, you will
- Coordinate and implement integrated marketing campaigns across digital and offline channels as per the guidance from the Marketing Manager
- Coordinate media relations to strengthen brand reputation and secure positive coverage
- Ensure consistent brand messaging aligned with BYD’s corporate identity
- Execute timely marketing initiatives to support product launches and promotions
- Enhance visibility across channels, including social media, press, and community outreach
- Maintain BYD’s visual identity across all dealership communications
- Oversee social media management, ensuring engaging content and audience growth
- Plan and execute events, exhibitions, and test-drive experiences to attract customers
- Organize brand activations that highlight BYD’s innovation and sustainability values
- Ensure operational excellence in event logistics, vendor coordination, and customer experience
- Align events with the overall marketing strategy to maximize ROI and brand impact
About you
To be successful in this role, you would need:
- BA in Marketing Management or Business-Related field with a minimum of three years of relevant work experience.
- Strong knowledge of marketing strategy, digital tools, and automotive industry trends
- Excellent communication and media relations skills
- Proficiency in design tools (Canva, etc.)
- Event planning and project management expertise
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives under tight deadlines
- Creative mindset with attention to detail and brand consistency
- Passionate about process improvement and attention to detail.
- Strong commitment to high-performance culture
- Results-oriented mindset with a proactive and strategic approach
