Marketing Officer Position Available

Our Marketing Team is seeking a Marketing Officer to join our BYD Business Unit, based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. In this position, you will

• Coordinate and implement integrated marketing campaigns across digital and offline channels as per the guidance from the Marketing Manager
• Coordinate media relations to strengthen brand reputation and secure positive coverage
• Ensure consistent brand messaging aligned with BYD’s corporate identity
• Execute timely marketing initiatives to support product launches and promotions
• Enhance visibility across channels, including social media, press, and community outreach
• Maintain BYD’s visual identity across all dealership communications
• Oversee social media management, ensuring engaging content and audience growth
• Plan and execute events, exhibitions, and test-drive experiences to attract customers
• Organize brand activations that highlight BYD’s innovation and sustainability values
• Ensure operational excellence in event logistics, vendor coordination, and customer experience
• Align events with the overall marketing strategy to maximize ROI and brand impact

About you

To be successful in this role, you would need:

• BA in Marketing Management or Business-Related field with a minimum of three years of relevant work experience.
• Strong knowledge of marketing strategy, digital tools, and automotive industry trends
• Excellent communication and media relations skills
• Proficiency in design tools (Canva, etc.)
• Event planning and project management expertise
• Ability to manage multiple initiatives under tight deadlines
• Creative mindset with attention to detail and brand consistency
• Passionate about process improvement and attention to detail.
• Strong commitment to high-performance culture
• Results-oriented mindset with a proactive and strategic approach
