About the Job
The Principal Attorney is responsible for providing advanced legal expertise, overseeing complex legal matters, and ensuring the organization operates in full compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The role includes leading legal strategies, supervising junior legal staff, and representing the organization in high-level legal proceedings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic legal advice to senior management on complex legal and regulatory issues.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and legal documents.
- Represent the organization in court cases, arbitration, and legal negotiations.
- Oversee litigation processes and manage relationships with external legal counsel.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Supervise and mentor junior legal staff and provide guidance on legal matters.
- Conduct legal research and stay updated on changes in laws and regulations.
- Identify legal risks and develop mitigation strategies to protect the organization.
- Prepare legal reports, opinions, and documentation for management decision-making.
About You
Requirements:
- LLB Degree in Law.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant legal experience.
- At least 1 year in a senior legal position.
