About the Job
The Principal Online Banking Officer is responsible for overseeing and enhancing digital banking services, ensuring efficient operation of online and agent banking platforms. The role focuses on system performance, service delivery, customer experience, and compliance with banking standards while supporting the bank’s digital transformation strategy.
Qualifications
- BSc Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology (IT), Management Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or related field
Experience
- Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in digital banking or related IT roles
- At least 2 years of experience as a Senior Online and Agent Banking Officer
Core Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor online and agent banking systems to ensure high availability and performance
- Support development and enhancement of digital banking products and services
- Ensure system security, data protection, and compliance with banking regulations
- Analyze system performance and customer usage trends to improve service delivery
- Collaborate with IT and business teams to implement system upgrades and integrations
- Handle escalated technical and operational issues related to digital banking platforms
- Prepare reports on system performance, incidents, and service improvements
- Support training and guidance for junior staff and banking agents
Technical Competencies
- Strong understanding of digital banking platforms and financial systems
- Knowledge of system security, networking, and database management
- Familiarity with core banking systems and integration technologies
- Analytical skills for system monitoring and performance optimization
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and reporting tools
