Organization Overview
HOPE International Development Agency (HIDA) is an international NGO dedicated to helping overlooked communities living in extreme poverty. It is registered with the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia – Authority for Civil Society Organization.
HIDA seeks to hire a competent Project Accountant responsible for ensuring the health and effectiveness of HIDA’s financial system, including:
- Properly recording and managing finance matters based on donor requirements and local laws.
- Working closely with the finance officer for better financial execution.
- Being responsible for the overall financial execution at the project level.
- Coordinating financial management issues in collaboration with other departments.
- Ensuring all project finances are properly documented for all project activities.
Education and Experience
- B.A degree in Accounting.
- Knowledge of accounting practices and principles, including IPSAS.
- Knowledge of applicable laws, codes, and regulations, both locally and internationally.
- Experience with related computer applications.
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in accounting and finance in an NGO.
