Job Summary
The Project Coordinator will be responsible for leading and coordinating research, evaluation, and consultancy projects from inception to completion. The role involves project planning, research design, stakeholder engagement, team supervision, data analysis, report preparation, and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality project outputs while maintaining compliance with organizational standards and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end planning, coordination, and implementation of research, evaluation, and consultancy projects.
- Prepare comprehensive project inception reports, including detailed work plans, timelines, and methodological frameworks.
- Monitor project performance, identify implementation risks, and develop appropriate mitigation measures to ensure successful project delivery.
- Develop quantitative and qualitative research methodologies, data collection tools, and analytical frameworks aligned with project objectives.
- Prepare field guidelines and provide technical training to data collection teams on research methodologies, ethical standards, and quality assurance procedures.
- Supervise field data collection activities to ensure adherence to quality standards, timelines, and ethical requirements.
- Participate in qualitative data collection activities, including Key Informant Interviews (KIIs) and Focus Group Discussions (FGDs).
- Compile, clean, analyze, and interpret qualitative and quantitative data to generate meaningful insights and recommendations.
- Prepare, review, and finalize project deliverables, including inception, baseline, midline, endline, and evaluation reports.
- Develop policy briefs, technical reports, presentations, and other knowledge products for clients and stakeholders.
- Prepare and deliver high-quality presentations to communicate project findings and recommendations.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the organization, clients, government institutions, NGOs, and development partners throughout the project lifecycle.
- Represent the organization during stakeholder consultations, validation workshops, client meetings, and project debriefings.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
- Supervise, mentor, and provide technical guidance to research associates, field teams, and project staff.
- Promote knowledge sharing, continuous learning, and collaboration across project teams.
- Coordinate with data management personnel and other internal departments to ensure smooth project implementation.
- Ensure project activities comply with organizational policies, donor requirements, and ethical research standards.
- Monitor project budgets, timelines, and resource utilization to ensure efficient project execution.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Project Manager.
Qualifications
- PhD, MSc, or MPH in Public Health, Economics, Development Studies, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant professional experience for PhD holders or 6 years for MSc/MPH holders in research and consultancy.
- Proven experience in managing research, evaluation, and consultancy projects.
- Experience working with international NGOs, development partners, government institutions, or consulting firms is an advantage.
