Project Manager

Job Description

The Project Manager (Local Delivery Lead) acts as the single point of contact locally, ensuring execution alignment between Flytxt and Ethio Telecom across all phases including initiation, delivery, go-live, and support. The role requires strong leadership in managing complex telecom and digital transformation projects within a multi-stakeholder environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary local liaison between Flytxt, Ethio Telecom, and relevant stakeholders.
• Ensure end-to-end execution of project phases from initiation to support.
• Manage project plans, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables.
• Maintain and track risk registers and implement mitigation strategies.
• Lead and coordinate steering committees and executive reporting processes.
• Ensure effective communication and coordination across technical, business, and executive teams.
• Facilitate stakeholder alignment and handle escalation processes effectively.
• Oversee project governance frameworks and ensure compliance with delivery standards.
• Support integration activities and ensure smooth deployment of telecom systems.
• Monitor overall project performance and ensure timely delivery within scope.

Job Requirements

• 8–12+ years of experience in IT, telecom, or digital transformation projects.
• Proven experience in managing large-scale software deployments, preferably in telecom environments.
• Experience working in multi-stakeholder environments involving vendors, clients, and partners.
• Prior exposure to Ethio Telecom is a strong advantage.
• Strong understanding of project governance frameworks and delivery methodologies.
• Ability to manage project plans, risks, dependencies, and executive reporting.
• Strong stakeholder management skills across technical, business, and executive levels.
• Understanding of telecom ecosystems including CDRs and messaging systems is required.
• Knowledge of CVM and campaign management platforms is an added advantage.
• Strong communication, coordination, and relationship-building skills.
