Resource Mobilization and Program Lead

Role Overview

On behalf of our client (Local NGO), we are seeking a strategic and highly networked Resource Mobilization & Program Lead to drive fundraising efforts, strengthen donor relationships, and provide high-level strategic oversight across health and social impact programs.

This role combines resource mobilization leadership with program direction to ensure sustainable growth, strong partnerships, and measurable national impact.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive resource mobilization strategy; identify and secure funding opportunities from institutional donors, foundations, corporations, and international partners; build and maintain strong donor relationships; prepare high-quality proposals, concept notes, and impact reports; represent the organization at national and international forums; provide strategic oversight to maternal and child health, women’s cancer (including cervical cancer), POP surgical intervention, nutrition, WASH, women’s empowerment, and emergency response programs; ensure programs are aligned with organizational vision and donor expectations; mentor and guide program teams to deliver measurable impact; strengthen monitoring, evaluation, and learning systems; and use data-driven insights to support fundraising and program growth initiatives.

Candidate Profile

• Proven experience in fundraising, donor engagement, or resource mobilization
• Strong knowledge of donors supporting MCH, women’s cancer, emergency response, surgical interventions, WASH, and women’s empowerment
• Strategic thinker with strong planning and execution capability
• Excellent communication skills in English and Amharic
• Strong professional network within the health, NGO, or development sectors
• Demonstrated leadership and team mentoring experience
• Critical thinking, negotiation, and persuasive communication skills
• Medical Doctor with Master’s in MPH, Project Management, or related field
