Job Summary

On behalf of our clients, we are seeking an experienced Senior General Head Accountant with a strong background in manufacturing and import/export operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations including General Ledger, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Cost Accounting, and Inventory Accounting.
• Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes.
• Prepare financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
• Maintain compliance with local tax laws, regulations, and international trade finance procedures.
• Supervise, guide, and support the accounting team to ensure performance and accuracy.
• Coordinate with external auditors and manage audit processes.
• Analyze financial data and provide strategic recommendations to management.
• Ensure efficient integration and operation of ERP systems and accounting software.
• Manage cash flow, banking relations, and foreign currency transactions.
• Review and improve accounting procedures and internal controls.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/ACCA is a plus).
• IFRS certification
• Minimum 5 years of experience
• Strong background in manufacturing and import/export industries is highly preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in ERP systems
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities.
• Knowledge of Ethiopian tax laws and international financial regulations is an asset.
