Job Summary:
On behalf of our client, we are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing finance, with in-depth knowledge of:
- Cost accounting
- Inventory valuation
- Production cost tracking
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform and oversee cost accounting activities, including product costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation.
- Monitor and analyze manufacturing costs and recommend changes to improve profitability.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and cost reports.
- Assist in budget preparation, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Reconcile inventory records with the general ledger and ensure accurate stock valuation.
- Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to provide insights into cost drivers and process efficiencies.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies.
- Supervise junior accountants and support the finance team in day-to-day operations.
- Assist in external and internal audits by preparing necessary documentation and explanations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or ACCA certification is a plus).
- Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of cost accounting principles, inventory control, and financial analysis.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) is an advantage.
- High attention to detail, analytical mindset, and strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
