Purpose of the role
Working closely with project managers, the Senior Admin/Finance Manager will oversee the administrative management of ongoing projects in the area, ensuring compliance with administrative and procurement procedures, preparing financial reports, and supervising the management and maintenance of accounting by local accountants.
Key duties
- Overseeing accounting
- Monitoring project expenditures and assisting project managers in budgeting and drafting periodic financial reports
- Ensuring compliance with procurement procedures
- Ensuring accurate documentation of expenditures and financial transactions for reporting purposes
- Managing cash and bank accounts dedicated to the projects
- Supervising administrative and logistics national staff
- Supporting project managers in preparing quarterly funding requests
- Guaranteeing that project activities are properly documented
- Supporting project managers in the administrative management of national staff and their contracts
Location: Gambella, Ethiopia

Requirements
- Degree in Accounting, University Degree in Economics, or equivalent title
- Excellent knowledge of English
- Good knowledge of Italian
- Mastery in using accounting applications
- Previous experience in admin/finance management of international cooperation projects in fragile countries and/or low-resource settings
TERMS OF CONTRACT
- Type of contract: collaboration contract
- Salary: TBD according to NGO salary grids and compensation policy (basic salary for the position, with possible increase based on professional experience)
- Rest days: 2.5 days for each month of work
- Flight ticket: one return flight
- Health issues: the NGO provides health insurance and covers vaccination costs
- Visa and permits: the NGO bears the cost and paperwork for visa and work/residence permits
- Accommodation: provided by the NGO, it is generally individual, depending on the logistical situation and the availability of accommodation in the workplace
- Other costs: the NGO covers costs related to housing utilities and internet; food and personal expenses are covered by the worker
