Job Summary
CCECC Ethiopian Branch is seeking qualified and experienced Architects to join its Design Department. The role focuses on delivering high-quality architectural designs for large-scale projects such as offices, hospitals, and banks. The position requires strong technical design capability, creativity, and the ability to ensure compliance with Ethiopian building standards while collaborating closely with engineers and project teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare architectural working drawings and detailed design plans for various projects
- Develop Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and complete construction documentation
- Ensure all designs comply with Ethiopian building codes, regulations, and industry standards
- Collaborate with engineers, consultants, and project managers during all project phases
- Develop creative and functional architectural solutions based on project requirements
- Produce 2D and 3D architectural visualizations using advanced design tools
- Participate in client meetings, technical discussions, and site visits when required
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Architectural Engineering or related field
- Additional certifications or professional training in architectural design software is an advantage
Work Experience:
- More than 5 years of relevant experience in architectural design (Senior-level position)
- Proven experience in major building projects such as offices, hospitals, banks, or similar structures
- Strong understanding of Ethiopian construction practices and architectural standards
Skills Required:
- Advanced proficiency in architectural software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite
- Strong knowledge of building codes, materials, and structural design principles
- Excellent visualization, drafting, and presentation skills
- Strong time management and project coordination abilities
- Excellent English communication skills (spoken and written)
- Strong teamwork, professionalism, and ability to follow project directives
- Ability to speak Chinese is an added advantage
