About the Job
We are seeking a skilled and responsible Senior Bus Driver (የከፍተኛ አውቶቡስ ሹፌር) to safely operate company buses and ensure the reliable transportation of passengers. The role requires strong driving experience, high discipline, and strict adherence to traffic laws, safety standards, and company transport procedures. The driver will be responsible for maintaining vehicle condition and ensuring a safe and comfortable travel experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate buses on assigned routes and schedules
- Ensure the safety and comfort of passengers at all times
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections before and after trips
- Report mechanical issues, damages, or safety concerns immediately
- Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of the assigned bus
- Follow traffic laws, company regulations, and safety procedures strictly
- Ensure timely departure and arrival according to schedules
- Assist passengers during boarding and unloading when needed
- Keep accurate trip logs, fuel usage records, and mileage reports
Education & License
- Level 1/2/3 in Auto Mechanic, Painting, or Grade 10 Completion
- Valid 5th Grade Driving License or equivalent professional driving permit
Experience
- 2–8 years of proven driving experience, preferably in bus or heavy vehicle operation
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of traffic rules and road safety regulations
- Good vehicle handling and defensive driving skills
- Basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting awareness
- High level of responsibility, discipline, and punctuality
- Good communication and customer service attitude
- Ability to remain calm and alert during long driving hours
