About the Role:
The Senior Finance Officer will lead the organization’s financial operations, ensuring proper financial planning, compliance, and reporting. This role will provide strategic support for organizational growth and program sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee financial operations, including budgeting, reporting, and auditing.
- Prepare accurate financial statements and reports for management and donors.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Provide guidance to junior finance staff and oversee day-to-day financial transactions.
- Manage cash flow, banking, and investment activities.
- Support financial planning for programs, projects, and organizational initiatives.
- Collaborate with program teams to monitor budgets and ensure efficient resource utilization.
- Identify financial risks and propose mitigation strategies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related fields.
- 3+ years of experience.
- Proven experience in financial management, preferably in non-profits or social enterprises.
- Fluent English in verbal and written communication.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
