Job Description
The position is responsible for managing and supporting key human resource functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and HR administration.
The role ensures effective implementation of HR policies, compliance with labor laws, and the promotion of a positive and productive work environment.
Main Responsibilities
- Oversee the recruitment process, including job postings, screening, interviews, and hiring decisions
- Collaborate with hiring managers to define job requirements and workforce needs
- Facilitate employee onboarding, orientation programs, and documentation processes
- Implement performance management systems, including goal setting, evaluations, and feedback
- Handle employee relations issues such as conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievances
- Act as a liaison between employees and management to ensure fair treatment and a positive workplace
- Participate in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures
- Communicate and enforce HR policies across the organization
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR documentation
- Generate reports and analyze HR data to support decision-making
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations, and company policies
- Perform additional administrative and clerical HR tasks as required
Competence and Skills
- Good knowledge of labor law and HR regulations
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- High proficiency in computer skills and HR management systems (HRMS)
- Experience using ERP systems and MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Amharic
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
Qualification and Work Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in similar HR roles
- Experience in technology companies is preferred
