Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and manage all import and export documentation including invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and certificates of origin.
- Ensure compliance with local and international trade regulations and customs procedures,
- Coordinate with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to ensure timely clearance and delivery of goods,
- Track shipments and maintain accurate records of all import/export activities,
- Liaise with suppliers and buyers to verify documentation accuracy and resolve any discrepancies,
- Manage LC (Letter of Credit) and other payment-related documentation in coordination with the finance department.
- Prepare and submit reports related to import/ export operations to management,
- Stay updated on new and documentation reregulation, tariffs, requirements
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of international trade regulations and shipping documentation.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong communication and negotiation skill.
- Ability to multitask and meet tight deadline.
- Knowledge of customs clearance procedures and logistics coordination.
Preferred Qualifications
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in import and export documentation, logistics, or international trade operations,
- Experience working with government agencies, shipping companies, and customs authorities.
- Familiarity with ERP systems or trade management software is an added advantage
