The Ethiopia Deposit Insurance Fund (EDIF) would like to invite competent applicants for the following post.

Job Title: Senior Information Technology Management Officer

Brief Job Description

• Prepare information technology management policy and procedure of the Fund;
• Identify and propose information technology solutions that should be implemented in the Fund and that enhance the operational efficiency of the Fund
• In collaboration with other relevant organs of the Fund, plan and implement new systems or IT initiatives
• Lead the testing and evaluation of new technology before operationalization:
• Prepare specifications for the purchase of information technology (both hardware and software) and provide necessary support while procuring such technology
• Keep computer systems running smoothly and ensure users get the maximum benefit from the computers:
• Install and configure computer hardware operating systems and applications as and when required:
• Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks
• Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults: ◆Replace and repair computer technology of the Fund as and when required
• Set up new users' accounts and profiles and deal with password issues
• Plan and implement IT initiatives of the Fund:
• Test and evaluate new technology before operationalization;
• Prepare annual plan and progress report related to information technology of the Fund:
• Prepare periodic progress reports on the information technology of the Fund:
• Manage the website of the Fund; and
• Carry out any other duties that are within the scope of the information technology management function and as requested by the Fund.

Required Minimum Educational Qualification & Work Experience

• 1st Degree or above in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Information Science, Computer Engineering or a relevant field
• Minimum of 6 years of experience for 1st Degree or 4 years for 2nd Degree holder in information technology management
