About the Job

The Senior Legal Officer is responsible for providing comprehensive legal support to the organization, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. The role involves managing legal risks, drafting and reviewing contracts, providing legal advisory services on corporate and insurance matters, and representing the organization in legal proceedings when required. The position also contributes to policy development, dispute resolution, and regulatory compliance while ensuring the organization’s legal interests are fully protected.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide legal advice on corporate, insurance, and regulatory matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and legal documents.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
• Manage and mitigate legal risks across organizational operations.
• Handle disputes, claims, and represent the organization in legal proceedings when necessary.
• Monitor changes in laws and regulations and advise management accordingly.
• Support development and implementation of internal policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with internal departments on legal and compliance matters.

About You

Qualification:

• LLB/LLM in Business Law, Corporate Law, or related field of study.

Experience:

• Four (4) years of relevant experience in the insurance industry, including at least one (1) year as Legal Officer II.
