Senior Medical Program Director (Female only)

Job Summary: On behalf of our client, we are seeking a strategic Medical Doctor with strong donor engagement and fundraising expertise to drive program excellence and secure sustainable partnerships. The ideal candidate will also provide visionary leadership, guiding programs to achieve measurable impact while fostering innovation and high-performance teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead fundraising and resource mobilization efforts to secure long-term funding
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with donors, partners, and stakeholders
• Develop high-quality proposals, concept notes, and donor reports
• Represent the organization at national and international forums
• Oversee health and development programs to ensure quality and impact
• Promote program growth, improvement, and new initiatives
• Lead, mentor, and support teams to ensure high performance and accountability
• Strengthen staff capacity through guidance and leadership
• Enhance Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) systems
• Use data and insights to guide strategy and improve fundraising outcomes

Requirements:

• Female Medical Doctor (MD) with relevant professional experience
• Proven experience in fundraising, donor engagement, and managing donor-funded programs
• Solid experience within the NGO sector
• Strong knowledge of health and development areas (MCH, WASH, cancer, etc.)
• Experience managing donor-funded programs
• Established professional network within the NGO/health sector
• Strong strategic thinking and ability to lead complex programs
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills
• Proficiency in Amharic and English
