Senior Monitoring & Evaluation Engineer

Job Summary

The Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Officer is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing systems that track project performance, assess impact, and support data-driven decision-making. The role ensures that projects are delivered efficiently, meet defined objectives, and comply with quality and regulatory standards through continuous monitoring, analysis, and reporting.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Monitoring & Evaluation frameworks, including KPIs and reporting systems.
• Track project progress against plans, schedules, budgets, and objectives.
• Collect and analyze data from site teams, contractors, and consultants.
• Conduct periodic evaluations to assess project outcomes, efficiency, and effectiveness.
• Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance reports and dashboards.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Identify risks and performance gaps, and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, consultants, and stakeholders.
• Support management with data-driven insights for decision-making.
• Document lessons learned and recommend continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Skills Required:

• Strong analytical and reporting skills
• Knowledge of construction processes and performance indicators (KPIs)
• Experience with data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI)
• High attention to detail and problem-solving ability
• Good communication and presentation skills
