Job Summary
The Senior Retail Manager is responsible for overseeing store operations, managing staff, and enhancing customer experience. This role involves recruiting and training employees, driving sales performance, managing inventory, and ensuring smooth daily operations. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with proven experience in retail or sales management, preferably in the mobile phone or FMCG industry.
Duties and Responsibilities
Staff Management:
- Motivate, coach, and supervise staff to achieve sales goals and provide excellent customer service.
- Evaluate employee performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Schedule and manage staff shifts and attendance.
- Recruit, onboard, and train new employees to align with company standards.
Store Operations:
- Ensure smooth store operations including opening and closing procedures.
- Maintain store cleanliness and organization.
- Monitor inventory, manage stock levels, and order merchandise.
- Ensure proper display and presentation of products.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, returns, and resolve issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate cash handling and POS operations.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures.
Sales & Marketing:
- Monitor sales data, identify trends, and implement strategies to improve performance and profitability.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to increase foot traffic and revenue.
- Organize sales promotions, in-store events, and marketing campaigns.
- Adjust strategies as needed based on sales performance and customer feedback.
Reporting & Analysis:
- Prepare reports on sales, expenses, and inventory.
- Analyze data to make informed decisions and drive business growth.
- Track customer feedback and implement improvements to enhance shopping experience.
Leadership & Development:
- Foster a positive and welcoming shopping environment.
- Lead by example, ensuring high standards of customer service and staff conduct.
- Support team development and continuous improvement through training and mentoring.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.
Qualification Requirements
- BA or MA in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3–8 years of experience in staff management and retail or sales environment.
- Experience in the mobile phone or FMCG industry is advantageous.
