Job Summary:
- Reports To: Service Transition Manager / IT Operations Head
- Duty Station: Addis Ababa (or as designated by the company)
- Salary & Benefits: Negotiable, commensurate with qualifications and experience
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee service transition and release management activities.
- Ensure that service transitions are completed on time, within budget, and according to quality standards.
- Collaborate with IT, project management, and business teams to manage risks and resolve issues during service transitions.
- Monitor and report on the progress of service transitions, including identifying and mitigating potential disruptions.
- Ensure adherence to ITIL best practices, organizational policies, and regulatory compliance.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within service transition processes.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and leadership to team members within the service transition function.
About You
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, Banking and Finance, Business Management, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
Professional Experience:
- Minimum of 9 years of relevant experience, with at least 5 years focused on service transition or release management within a complex, regulated environment such as banking or financial services.
Certifications:
- Certification in Project Management or Program Management.
- ITIL Certification.
Core Professional Skills:
- Strong understanding of service transition, release management, and IT operations processes.
- Excellent project coordination, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and complex projects in a regulated environment.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
