Job Summary
The Biomedical, Electrical, and Mechanical Engineer is responsible for providing high-quality after-sales technical support for medical equipment, including installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, calibration, user training, technical documentation, and customer support.
Installation and Commissioning
- Install and commission medical equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications, company procedures, and international safety standards.
- Conduct pre-installation inspections and prepare site readiness reports.
- Perform system configuration, software installation, parameter settings, and functional testing.
- Carry out operational qualification and acceptance testing before handing over equipment to customers.
- Ensure equipment operates according to manufacturer performance specifications before customer acceptance.
- Prepare installation reports, commissioning certificates, and customer handover documentation.
Preventive Maintenance
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance according to maintenance contracts and manufacturer recommendations.
Corrective Maintenance and Troubleshooting
- Respond promptly to customer service requests and equipment breakdowns.
- Identify root causes of equipment failures using appropriate diagnostic procedures.
- Verify equipment functionality after repairs before returning it to service.
- Escalate unresolved technical issues to manufacturers and follow up until resolution.
Calibration and Performance Verification
- Perform calibration according to manufacturer recommendations and applicable standards.
- Conduct safety inspections and safety tests where applicable.
- Document calibration results and maintain calibration records.
Documentation and Reporting
- Prepare accurate installation, maintenance, repair, calibration, and service reports.
- Maintain service history records for every installed medical device.
- Document recurring technical problems and corrective actions.
- Submit reports within the required company timelines.
- Update the service management system with all completed activities.
