About the Role:
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Accountant with a minimum of 2 years of experiencewho can independently prepare financial statements and manage accounting operations withprecision. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow)
- Ensure accurate bookkeeping, reconciliations, and month-end closing activities
- Manage tax filings (VAT, Withholding Tax, Income Tax) and compliance with local regulations
- Handle accounts payable & receivable, payroll, and budgeting
- Work closely with auditors, banks, and external stakeholders
- Identify financial risks and provide strategic solutions to improve efficiency
- Maintain financial records with accuracy and confidentiality
Requirements:
✔ Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
✔ Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role
✔ Strong knowledge of IFRS and Ethiopian tax laws
✔ Proficiency in accounting software (Peachtree, QuickBooks, or similar)
✔ Ability to work independently and handle financial reporting with minimal supervision
✔ Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
✔ Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
