Job Description
- A Senior Credit Portfolio Recovery Officer is a specialized banking and financial professional focused on minimizing losses by recovering debts from non-performing loans (NPLs) and restructuring distressed accounts
- Acts in a senior capacity by managing high-risk portfolios
- Oversees junior recovery staff and coordinates with legal teams to enforce security interests
- Supports the bank in protecting asset quality and ensuring effective credit risk management
Job Requirements
Qualification
- BSc or BA in Accounting, Economics, Management, Business Administration, Banking & Finance, or related field
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the banking industry
- At least 2 years in a role such as Credit Appraisal Officer or other credit-related position
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of banking credit products and risk management
- Ability to manage high-risk portfolios effectively
- Leadership and supervision of junior recovery staff
- Analytical and problem-solving skills for debt recovery and restructuring
