Job Title: Store In-charge
Role Objective
We are looking for a veteran Store In-charge with over a decade of experience to lead our warehouse operations.
This is a critical role requiring a strategic mindset to manage high-volume inventory, ensure 100% material availability for production lines, and maintain impeccable digital and physical records in a complex manufacturing environment.
Detailed Job Responsibilities
1. Inventory & Materials Management
- Multi-Item Oversight: Manage a diverse inventory ranging from raw materials (steel, chemicals, etc.) and consumables to spare parts and finished goods.
- System Implementation: Execute and monitor specialized inventory control systems.
- ABC Analysis: Categorizing items based on value and turnover.
- Bin Cards: Maintaining physical records at the point of storage for immediate verification.
- VED/FSN Analysis: Analyzing inventory based on criticality and movement speed.
- Stock Reconciliation: Lead monthly and annual physical stock-taking (cycle counting) and resolve any variances between physical stock and ERP data.
2. ERP & Process Documentation
- Digital Accuracy: Act as the primary custodian for the ERP system, ensuring all Goods Receipt Notes (GRN), Material Requisition Notes (MRN), and Gate Passes are processed in real-time.
- Reporting: Generate MIS reports regarding stock aging, non-moving items, and re-order levels to assist the Procurement team.
3. Warehouse Operations & Safety
- Layout Optimization: Maximize floor space utilization and ensure the logical flow of materials (Receipt → Inspection → Storage → Issuance).
- Standardization: Enforce 5S methodologies (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) to maintain a world-class warehouse environment.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure all material handling equipment (forklifts, pallets, racks) is maintained and that safety protocols for hazardous materials are strictly followed.
Candidate Requirements
Experience: 10 to 15+ years of proven experience in store management.
Industry Focus: A solid background in a Manufacturing or Engineering setup is mandatory. Candidates from retail or service sectors will not be considered.
Technical Mastery:
- Proficiency in ERP software (SAP MM, Oracle SCM, Tally Prime, or bespoke Manufacturing ERPs).
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot tables, VLOOKUPs for data reconciliation).
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Supply Chain Management, or a Diploma in Material Management.
Core Competencies
- High Integrity: Ability to manage high-value assets with zero tolerance for shrinkage or pilferage.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to forecast material requirements based on production schedules.
- Leadership: Experience in managing a team of store keepers, loaders, and data entry operators.
