Job Summary
The Storekeeper is responsible for the proper management, receipt, storage, and issuance of goods and supplies in a hotel or apartment setting. This role ensures inventory accuracy, timely replenishment of stock, and supports smooth operational flow across departments while maintaining high standards of organization and accountability.
Duties and Responsibilities
Inventory Management
- Receive, inspect, and verify all incoming goods and supplies.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and movements.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate timely replenishment.
- Organize storage areas to ensure safety, accessibility, and efficiency.
Record Keeping & Reporting
- Maintain detailed records of all items received, issued, or returned.
- Prepare regular inventory reports for management review.
- Track usage patterns and report discrepancies or potential losses.
Operational Support
- Support hotel/apartment departments in requesting and issuing materials.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of items to prevent damage or loss.
- Collaborate with procurement staff to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Assist in periodic stock counts, audits, and reconciliation activities.
Compliance & Standards
- Ensure adherence to hotel/apartment policies regarding storage and inventory control.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of stock and inventory records.
- Promote a culture of integrity and accountability in all storekeeping activities.
Qualification Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in any business-related field
- Previous experience in hotel or apartment storekeeping is preferred
