Job Summary
The selected candidate will be responsible for preparing and managing import and export documents, following up customs clearance procedures, and ensuring that goods move on time and in compliance with legal requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and process customs clearance documents
- Monitor shipments from port to warehouse
- Ensure compliance with customs laws and company policies
- Follow up tax payments, permits, and other legal requirements
- Coordinate with relevant institutions for smooth clearance
- Prepare reports related to shipment and clearance
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of proven experience in transit and customs clearance work
- Strong knowledge of Ethiopian customs laws and procedures
- Experience in handling import/export documentation
- Ability to work with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and government institutions
- Good communication and negotiation skills
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Computer skills (MS Office and customs-related systems)
