Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the underwriting department to ensure efficient and accurate risk assessment
- Review, evaluate, and approve underwriting decisions in line with company policies
- Develop and implement underwriting guidelines, policies, and procedures
- Monitor underwriting performance and ensure targets and quality standards are met
- Analyze risk exposure and recommend appropriate risk mitigation strategies
- Supervise and support underwriting staff, providing guidance and performance management
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls
- Prepare and submit regular reports on underwriting activities and performance
- Collaborate with other departments to support business growth and customer satisfaction
Qualification: BA/MA/BSc/MSc in Accounting, Management, Statistics, Engineering or related field of studies, with strong analytical and risk assessment knowledge
Experience: Eight years of relevant professional experience, of which at least two years as an Underwriting Division Manager or in a similar leadership role, with proven experience in risk evaluation and policy management
