Job Description
The role focuses on supporting students in Years 12 and 13 throughout the university application process and assisting in the delivery of career guidance programs.
Key Responsibilities
The position involves student support, application guidance, and career program coordination.
- Assist the Counsellor in supporting students with university applications globally
- Support understanding and application of the American admissions process
- Assist with Pan-European admissions processes such as UCAS
- Provide guidance on funding opportunities for Ethiopian and international students
- Assist students in writing personal statements and application essays
- Support completion and review of university application forms
- Help develop and deliver careers and university guidance programs
- Assist in organizing visiting speakers from universities and professional sectors
- Maintain and update a guidance library with global education opportunities
- Liaise with the British Council and Embassies to support educational pathways
- Support parent engagement through workshops and presentations
- Work with families to provide tailored university guidance
- Assist in delivering staff training on personal statements and references
- Support students applying for competitive programs such as medicine and law
- Assist with preparation for Oxbridge and Ivy League admissions and interviews
- Support administration of standardized tests such as PSAT, SAT, and GMAT
- Assist in managing the Bridge-U platform
- Support one-on-one guidance meetings with students in Years 12 and 13
- Assist in booking career interviews using online platforms
- Support implementation of careers education programs for Years 9 to 11
- Assist in organizing career fairs and related events
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Counselling, or related field

- Highly motivated with experience working with students, staff, and families
- Experience engaging with external organizations such as universities and NGOs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to motivate, support, and collaborate with colleagues
