About the Job
The Community Development Volunteer is responsible for living and working within a rural community to support sustainable development initiatives through community participation and local engagement.
The role focuses on identifying local needs, co-creating solutions, implementing projects, and promoting long-term positive impact.
Key Responsibilities
1. Community Engagement & Needs Assessment
- Live and work within a rural community.
- Build trust and strong relationships with local residents.
- Identify key challenges through community participation.
2. Project Design & Implementation
- Co-create solutions with community members.
- Plan and implement development projects.
- Collaborate with local partners and stakeholders.
3. Monitoring & Evaluation
- Track project progress and measure results.
- Adjust plans based on feedback.
- Ensure sustainability of solutions.
4. Cultural Integration & Leadership
- Respect local culture, traditions, and values.
- Promote cooperation and mutual learning.
- Demonstrate leadership and responsibility.
Requirements
- Age 21 or older.
- University degree or equivalent experience.
- Physically and emotionally ready for rural service.
- Strong passion for community service.
- Good communication and adaptability.
- Female applicants are highly encouraged.
