Job Summary:

Under the close supervision of the Metallurgist, overseeing operations on each shift, able to delegate tasks, resolve problems, and make sure that everything goes smoothly for everyone during a given work shift.

 Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily/day and night shifts/ smooth and safe operation of the processing plant.
• Manage and train processing staff (Time and attendance/Discipline/Training)
• Ensure effective recovery of minerals and availability of plant equipment.
• Liaise with other departments to ensure effective operations.
• Adhere to all company working policies, procedures, and SOPs during the execution of duties and responsibilities.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager.

Job Requirements

Education:

• 1st Degree in Mining Engineering or related field of Study

Work Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years in a mineral processing plant (Gold plant advantage)

Skills and competencies required:

• Good leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
• Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities to address operational challenges effectively.
• Proven track record of meeting production targets and optimizing processing operations.
• Ability to adapt to changing conditions and handle high-pressure situations.
