Job Purpose:
Involves collecting, organizing, analyzing, and reporting agricultural information and supporting any agronomy-related tasks
Main responsibilities:
- Collect and compile a wide range of agronomic data related to crops like volume, yield, quality, CPA, Fertilizers, soil health, weather conditions, and other relevant factors.
- Organize and manage data using databases, spreadsheets, or specialized software.
- Analyse data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform decision-making.
- Create visually appealing charts, graphs, and reports to present findings to management and ensure that visualizations effectively convey insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Collaborate with agronomists, researchers, and other stakeholders to stay updated on the latest advancements and ensure accurate data collection and interpretation.
- Develop and maintain data quality control processes. Ensure data accuracy, consistency, completeness, and use data cleaning techniques.
- Prepare Concise Reports and PowerPoint presentations for internal and external audiences. And highlight key takeaways and recommendations
Who are we looking for?
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Data science, Statistics, Scientific Computing, Methods and Systems, or related field.
Work Experience:
Minimum 4 years with data visualization tools, creating compelling charts and graphs.
Knowledge:
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in statistical analysis.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel & PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication skills in English (oral & written).
- Knowledge of crop management practices, soil science, and other agricultural aspects.
- Technical competence and passion for agriculture, with a commitment to providing valuable insights.
