Transport Accountant

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for checking approved transport payment requests, processing incoming vendor invoices, managing transporter customer accounts including fuel consumption and other deductions, communicating with concerned departments regarding fuel consumption deduction delays, preparing bank transfer letters, and following up on payments for transporters with bank transfer agreements, processing check proposals, analyzing and following up on fuel transport-related provision accounts, preparing reports on transport provision and actual payments, reconciling SAP postings, allocating transport vendor accounts, managing duty-free sales and claims from Ethiopian Petroleum Supply Enterprise (EPSE), and performing monthly balance sheet account analysis and reporting anomalies to management.

JOB REQUIREMENT

Educational background

  • Bachelor's degree from a recognized university in Accounting.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience as an Accountant.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and efficiently manage high-volume Pick activity during peak periods.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, to achieve shared objectives
  • A good command of the SAP system is advantageous.
  • Good command of written and spoken English.
