Job Purpose: The Driver must have a safe driving record; follow all stated and national driving laws, rules, and regulations. In this position, you will follow prearranged routes destinations. You will also maintain vehicle upkeep and cleanliness. Reporting Lines: The Project Driver will report the field office Project Coordinator and the project management, team. Key Responsibilities: Practice safe driving habits Follow all state and national safety regulations and standards Maintain vehicle maintenance as needed for safety Follow schedules and rerouting in a timely manner when faced with traffic or congestion Reliable and punctual with dedicated professionalism to job and duties Excellent time management skills Organized and able to follow a schedule Physically able to reach, stretch, bend, and sit for long periods of time during daily routine Previous professional experience driving preferred; training may be provided Able to work night, weekends, and holidays as needed Other: Respect for ECC-SDCO Code of coduct and its Human Resource Management Policy Other Duties as assigned by the by project field coordinator and the project management team Skills and Competencies: 3rd Grade valid Driving License High School complete or equivalent; releban experience or knowledge, skills and mental ability Ability to manage an unpredictable workload in a challenging environment Belief in Ethiopian Catholic Church Mission and Vision Languages: Fluency in Spoken English, Oromiffa and Amharic, Clear and Concise reporting in English is strongly preferred Duration: 1 year (with the possibility of extension) Duty Station: Nekemte Salary: As per the scale of the Organization
