Accountant

Job Summary

The Accountant is responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial reports, maintaining accounting systems, and supporting the organization's financial operations. The role involves recording transactions, analyzing financial data, ensuring the accuracy of financial information, and supporting effective financial management.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Experience

• 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Experience in financial reporting, accounting operations, and financial analysis is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and accounting documentation.
• Record and process financial transactions in accordance with accounting procedures.
• Prepare financial reports and support financial analysis activities.
• Perform account reconciliation and ensure accuracy of financial records.
• Assist in the preparation of periodic financial statements.
• Monitor accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes.
• Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies and procedures.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in Peachtree Accounting Software and other accounting systems.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including financial analysis and reporting.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting practices.
• Ability to prepare and analyze financial reports.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
